The “Microphone Records” recording company is delighted to announce a new and interesting duet, “Pasakā” (In a Fairytale) by Lauris Reiniks and Aisha. The song was written by Lauris Reiniks and Mārtiņš Freimanis.

“I like to record duets with young and talented Latvian singers from time to time,” says Lauris. “This seemed to be the right moment and the right song to record with Aisha, whose new image I really enjoy. I am delighted at the result, and I hope that our audience will enjoy it, too.”

Aisha also says that she loves the song, adding that she had never thought of such a combination before: “Lauris and I represent fairly different styles of music, but I really liked the song, and why shouldn’t I record a duet with Latvia’s version of Enrique Iglesias?” She says that with a grin.

The music video tells the story of two young people who are in different cars in a traffic jam, make eye contact, and understand that they have finally found one another. They leave their cars and meet in the middle of the street. The video was filmed on Brīvības Street during an actual traffic jam, as well as at the Panorama Plaza apartment complex.

“I don’t know that this is something that would happen in real life,” says Lauris, who wrote and directed the video. “On the other hand, why shouldn’t we present such a romantic fairytale?” The cameraman and assistant director for the video was the senior cameraman of LNT, Imants Zaķītis, and it was edited by Arturs Nikolajevs.

Both performers are very busy this autumn. Aisha is continuing her enormously successful “Little Soul” tour in Latvia, and she has just announced an additional date in Rīga – November 5. She is also busy in performing the title role of a musical called “Pifs.” Lauris hosts the popular “Singing Families” television programme each Sunday evening on LNT, and he is one of the stars of the celebrated Latvian version of the play “Ladies’ Night.”

Also this week, Lauris is releasing a new and attractive version of his homepage, www.laurisreiniks.lv. The page was designed by the Balti company, which says that no other artist in Latvia has a homepage of that kind.
“Pasakā” can already be downloaded on the Doremi.lv portal.
